OLAUG in the News
Who knew that a bunch of old ladies in bathing suits would generate so much interest? But generate we did. We've been featured in local newspapers, the Christian Science Monitor and Readers Digest, on local and Boston TV stations, CBS and NPR, and in multiple videos. This past year we had dates with the Boston Globe, NBC Nightly News and AARP, among others. We even appeared on the Drew Barrymore Show! It seems in these times of bad news and discord, our story of courage, fun, and connection with nature and each other has struck a chord.
Here is a sampling of our stardom. We try not to let it get to our heads.
2025
Really BIG NEWS: Founder Susan Baur has been selected as one of 50 visionaries of 2025 by the Explorers Club (EC50). "Each year The Explorers Club recognizes 50 extraordinary people who are doing remarkable work to promote science and exploration, but remain under the radar and out of the limelight. These 50 individuals are exploring, inspiring, and creating the future—the future of the planet, life upon it, and the boundless possibilities that await us all." (from EC website: https://50.explorers.org/about-ec50/). This award puts her in the company of some of the most extraordinary scientists, advocates, journalists and filmmakers on the planet. Congratulations, Susan!
